This three-part beginner printmaking series is for anyone ready to build real skills, not just try one technique. Students will learn the tools, materials, and printing practices behind multi-color block printing, then leave with a finished relief print.
Mondays, 10AM–12PM November 2, November 9, and November 16
Class One: Carving tools and safe handling, designing for relief, and a short history of block printing.
Class Two: Color blocking, how different inks behave, and jigsaw relief — cutting a block into puzzle pieces for multi-color printing.
Class Three: Proper registration and printing practices. Students pull a finished multi-color print.
By the end of the series, participants will have a finished print and a foundation in carving, color, inks, and registration they can build on.
All materials included. Beginner friendly. No printmaking experience needed.
