Sunday September 13th 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM
Learn one of the most classic ceramic decoration techniques, with a Halloween twist!
Sgraffito is the art of carving away layered underglazed on clay that is still leather hard. Participants will each receive 3 pre- underglazed dishes (all dishes will be black). Designs can be anything, but bonus points if it is spooky! Pieces will be fired in our studio kiln and will be dish washer and food safe.
All materials included.

Learn how to make a wreath from scratch, how to best care for your wreath, and enjoy community as we build autumn decor that you can enjoy all season long.

Learn the art of paper card making in this beginner friendly workshop. Participants will learn how to dye cut, layer, emboss, design, and use ink to create interactive and one of a kind creations.

A spooky-themed special craft night: pull a card, then turn the reading into art.
- Create a collage or junk journal spread inspired by your tarot reading

Wednesday October 21st from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM

Join us for a fun, hands-on evening of creativity! In this beginner-friendly linocut workshop, you’ll carve your own custom Fall Botanical rubber stamps, then you’ll stamp your designs onto fabric tea towels or canvas bags to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints, perfect for adding a handmade touch to your kitchen, garden, or everyday carry.
All materials provided.
Linocut carving tools are sharp and should be handled with care. We’ll provide guidance and safety tips throughout the workshop and do our best to help prevent injuries, but participants use tools at their own risk.
Must be 18 years or older to attend.
Saturday September 26th 5:00-8:00 PM
Price includes TWO spots. Can be any kind of coupe or pair.
Join us for another installment of our Clay Date! We will start the evening with happy hour drinks (and a special discount) next door at the Distillery of Modern Art before heading to the studio where participants will learn how to make a mug. Glazes will be chosen and all pieces will be fired in our kiln and be dishwasher and food safe.

Monday October 5th 5-8:00 PM
Bring your favorite denim item- jacket, jeans, or overalls- and learn how to transform the everyday into a bespoke and whimsical piece of fashion.
Participants will learn basic embroidery embellishments, geometrical stitches and applique techniques.
MUST bring denim item from home. Goodwill is a great place to grab something if you need!

Learn to make a ceramic house plaque to keep for yourself or as a gift! Pieces will be fired in our studio kiln and will be waterproof, perfect for hanging outdoors.

Join us to learn how to make a set of 3-4 ghost shaped tea lights using real clay and underglazes. All participants will get to choose how they want to accessorize their ghosts, making them truly one-of-a-kind!

Learn how to transform a simple sweatshirt using hand stitching and fun fabrics.

Learn how to transform cupcakes using simple but effective icing tips, tricks and techniques. Participants will each get to decorate six cupcakes in fall foliage decor and pumpkin designs.

Mini & Me Workshops
Kid friendly workshops. These are for the adult AND child. These are not drop-off workshops.
Thursday October 1st 4-6:00 PM
Come make up to three little ceramic monsters with your kiddo! Pieces will be painted with undergalze and fired in our studio kiln.
Parent MUST be present with child for the entire duration of the workshop.
Price is for one adult AND one kid. If you would like to bring an additional child it is $20/ additional kid.
Saturday, October 17th
10AM - 1PM
Bring the little ghouls and goblins for a morning of hands-on Halloween making at Little Thistle Studio. Kids will rotate through five craft stations: fabric ghosts, felt monster masks, magic wands, spooky peg people, and monster rock painting.
Costumes are welcome (and encouraged).
Our Members and Staff will also be selling original artwork - no ticket needed to come and purchase! 100% of the commission goes back to the artist.
Coffee will be available for purchase from Kin Coffee for the grown-ups tagging along.
Events & Clubs
Larger, more social group setting with the goal to make, create, and have a good time.
Bring your favorite craft or current work in progress and join us for an evening of creativity and community.
Your craft can be anything- junk journaling, crocheting, sewing, jewelry, drawing, painting- just keep in mind space (this may not be the night to try and lay out your king size quilt).
We want to take something that is usually a solo activity, and give people a chance to make it social. We hope this becomes a monthly tradition as the studio continues to grow. Bring a friend, bring your mahjong ladies or book club, make it a date night- we promise it will be fun!

Bring you junk journal, photos, receipts, ticket stubs, and any other memorabilia and join us for a fun night of journaling!
Junk journaling is a creative hobby that combines journaling, scrapbooking, and collage art. People use recycled or found materials like old papers, photos, stickers, receipts, and fabric to decorate personalized journal pages and record memories, thoughts, or ideas.
The studio will provide the following, but feel free to bring your own supplies as well:
markers, pens, crayons, stickers, stencils, various paper cutter shapes, washi tape, glue, tape, paper, cut outs, magazines, and more.
You can also purchase a journal at the studio if you need a fresh one or you are starting one for the first time!
Friday, October 23 · 7–10 PM · $125 per table (max 4 players)
An evening of play, desserts, drinks, and games at Little Thistle Studio to benefit Project Linus.
Gather a table of friends (up to four players) for a full night of mahjong, plus desserts and one raffle ticket per player.
Wine by the glass is provided by Chamblee & Vine.
